blowging

Thursday, January 29, 2009

Blogs and online dating has been one of the most opted forms of media entertainment nowadays.

Blogging, as technology, has led to a vivid democratization on how media and information is written and published. The toddlerhood of this medium will definitely brush up against the old and the old will eventually push back against the new. Change is inevitable in technology especially in the 9/11 attack. When the earth stood still on the 11th of September, the world inside the web paved its way to an interlocking pool of catharsis. Many who witnessed the horror of the killer planes took advantage of the net and blog about it to the whole world. Stunned Americans used e-mail and instant messages and other available tools but blogs meant large audiences and eventually those who where struck with the madness made blogging as their outlets to pour out their sentiments and grief.

As time passed by, the blogging fashion changed.

I think there’s no such thing as blogging etiquettes unlike in the forms of journalism. Blogging etiquettes are nothing but junks to those who are so caught up with anonymity.  Bloggers exposed themselves to the intellectual and ethical trip-ups that are inherent in blogging. Enough said. I don’t want to dig further. LOL! 0_o

This is random. I am random. I am bored. What do you do when youre bored? I heard doodling and online dating is better than blogging. LOL. I also heard doodling can save you from schizophrenia. LOL. For online dating fanatics, you can chill at Dating Services. Find your match and be happy. enough of boredom. Let’s have fun fun fun!!!

A-key-less Heel

Monday, January 26, 2009

“A-chil-les Heel”

“A-key-less?” (wrote it in his notebook…trying to help himself figure out if he’s trying to make sense or not) “Aaaaah! Keyless! Like A-keyless-lock?! Arasoh!!!”

“A-key-less what?!?! *#%$^!*@$%!!!!!

“Grrr! I will poke your grrr!”

“what?!”

“You are doing it again…you’re trying to play with stupid words again!”

 “No! I’m not plaaay!”

“It’s not like keyless…it’s A-chil-les! They are different! Here! Read the story of The Mythology of Achilles Heel . . . 10 times!”

(LOL…of course I didn’t mean that 10x part! Hahaha!)

Our convos would kick off from something synonymous to that…everyday, from Monday to Friday for two hours. I, being an exile from boredom and a product of psycho bonkin’ bonkers  begin my English session with my Korean student - Teddy (that’s his English name) San Chul is his uhm…Korean name? LOL of course… (Sorry for the lame introduction normal people LOL) …  Anyway, yes back to regular morbidity…!

I usually start off with a boring query, “How’s your day?” aside from the most boring query – “How are you” LOL. He would always respond… “same same…(with matching sigh) I’m so bored…everyday is the same.” And that’s the most philosophical response I always hear from the most retarded, irksome, and sometimes (not really! almost always) comical creature in the face of this godamn earth everyday at 4 in the afternoon.

You could probably imagine me trying hard to balance myself between boredom and bonkers. LOL

(and lately, he wants to sit in at my Finnish class…like this is suicide + disaster) dot dot dot (HyeJin wants to sit in too! Okay.stop me. the world has gone bonkersss!!!) They are such paininthea** you know! HAHAHAH!

“Speaking of Keyless…where can I buy keyless door lock here in the Philippines?” he asked.

For which I have no idea…I graciously replied … “Online!”

Hahaha!

“And why are you looking for a keyless lock? You barely go out. And this place is very safe.

“Because I’m so tired and bored bringing keys everytime I go out…?”

Very well.

“Keyless door locks are part of every Korean home. We feel very safe with it. Its very cool and hi-tech and you don’t have to worry yourself bringing heavy keys because with the use of your thumb finger…you just press it to the little machine and you can go inside your house easily.”

Yeah right! You should have brought it with you when you came here.

One of the coolest & most compelling feature of the keyless lock is the incorporation of fingerprint authorization technology. This keyless door lock that can be activated by a fingerprint impression, which can authorize a number of people with access using just their finger as the key. And the coolest part is…many of these fingerprint keyless lock have the technology to record a number of events that have taken place in your absence so you will be able to see who gained access to the premises and at what time. Awesome!

Okay I’m just trying to translate what Teddybonkers was trying to explain about A-keyless-door-lock… He’s paying me a good amount of dough for this okay…so I better listen and try not to laugh my a** off.

This is screwing my brain cells. cereally! LOL!

hei!hei! goodnight!

television

Friday, January 23, 2009

Yesterday, I read an article in the newspaper that on average, a person spends about 30 hours a week watching television. This average was 20% more during the holiday season. While those earthlings are so muddled in front of their tube (who wouldn’t?!…with a subscription from Direct TV…30 hours isn’t enough!) I, in my most mandalãn pursuit, is busy learning Finnish and dabbling over my mandala. I need more than 30 hours a week in this “new-found hobby” LOL and another 30 hours infront of my monitor. LOL

Back in my toddler years…I rather watch TV than playing with other kids on our block. Then, when I started going to school…I thought watching television was the best drug I can’t get enough of…I would spend myself 30 minutes answering all my homework (sometimes I answer them after class so that I have lesser time to do it at home…you know! LOL) and after my mom checked all my correct answers…I would be forever giddy for having the television all for myself! haha! If I get bored, I would play my favorite Disney flicks again and again.

But now, I could barely sit down infront of the TV (except with Barack Obamababy’s inauguration…I can’t afford to miss it. The pre-inauguration was WOWsome. LOL

The star-studded inauguration brought forth a great way in which television junkies interact—through watching television. I heart Bono! I adore Obama! gObama!!!

CNN reported 13.9 million streams by 11:45 a.m., up from a previous live-streaming high of 5.3 million streams on election day. as more and more users flock to the online to watch programs or events that are normally broadcasted on cable network like Directv

I cringe every time people tell me how busy their lives are but then, they are somehow totally up-to-date with anything going on of 10 different Directtv shows. Yeah!!!

Telkarri is television in Finnish :)

faux squirrel brush

Sunday, January 18, 2009

if your pursuit of health plus beauty includes those of paint brushes like me, take a deep breath baby because online shopping has good news for you. Most online stores offer wide choices of great stuff, anything that pops up in your mind. “Online shopping malls” have been taking its toll in the internet sphere for quite some time already.  The company aims to provide worry free e-shopping experience by establishing hassle-free and secured payment and delivery modes.

why do most shoppers prefer online shopping rather than shopping at brick-and-mortar retailers? Statistic reveals that 58 percent of consumer’s primary reasons are the shopping convenience of 24/7. Not to mention, online patrons, don’t have to battle crowds and stressful stuff. With the wide array of products that are introduced, shoppers can distinctively finger out products that they needed and wanted, plus the reviews and feedbacks.

recently, I was eyeing on a lovely set of rigger brush in the mall, which to my surprise was an import from Australia. I’ve been looking for this kind of fancy paintbrush for centuries already to give life to my mandala. It’s perfect for glazing fine details and it provides greater hold to watercolors and acrylics. And so I save enough money for the precious brush and went to the store to buy it, but to my dismay it was already sold and no single brush was left, even a single strand of a faux squirrel fur. And so, I tried looking for it online. Low and behold! My precious faux squirrel rigger brush came to life for $3 only. Wooooooot!

This is for the love of art baby! Hahaha!

i poker you!

I poker you!

There has been a steady rise in the trend of playing mental games especially those on online casinos. An online game permits players to play games sitting at one place even at the comfort of their home. The main reason why these websites are so available is because there’s a great demand for free online game websites, generated by amateurs and pro-players alike. In fact, there are plenty of advantages in choosing online play because if you are skilled enough, like in playing poker…winning is never a problem.

This year, I need to learn (read: NEED) poker. Hahaha! I’ve been playing Poker Superstars in front of my monitor and I feel stupid sometimes because it makes me feel more misanthropic. I need human interaction you know! Hahahah!

Hyejin, Eunmee and Teddy know how to play poker, and they want to teach me. But considering the language barrier and all that comes with it, like talking, laughing and teasing with each other, it would prolly make give me an idea to play poker with myself. LOL!

One of the reasons why I want to learn this poker-poker-poker-I-Poke-you evolution is the fact that, it’s a very intellectually stimulating game and online poker challenges. Poker is becoming more popular and more people want to be able to learn the game in order to be involved in the financial and mental aspects of the trend. A poker players motive poker online game is financial in nature, but the fact that the game is mentally stimulating to the player, then it’s a win-win situation eh!

Casinos

Thursday, January 15, 2009

Yesterday, my Korean friend Eunmee Oh left the Philippines for good. She’s going back to Busan, South Korea. The pretty and timid girl don’t know what lies ahead of her when she go home…the only thing that she need is to let her pale feet touch her mother ground. Hyejin tried talking to her and at least convinced her to finish her 2nd year study in Ateneo (ADDU). I asked her what’s bothering her here but she seems at loss of words when I stared at her teary eyes. We talked about some stuff on her last night at Hyejin’s room while dabbling on a poster for a Literature report and even laughed about some silly jokes to make the place less dreary.

Then, we came up with our long lost casino topic. She told me she always had this aching for casinos in Busan, and told us that back in middle school, she and her friends play on slot machines like those in casinos before going home.

Her father goes to casinos most of the time in Seoul, because there’s only one casino in Busan which is open for 24 hours. Playing in those casinos’s a form of stress management for her father and for her as well. She’ll surely have her hands full on those fancy slot machines once she enters those casino territories of Korea.

@ Caffe V …stolen shot.

I miss her. Hyejin misses her a lot. She lost her cellphone in Manila before boarding the plane and her baggage exceeded to 14kilograms. phew! That’s 14K wahaha!

Moi moi!!!

See you in Helsinki!

Hi! I'm Choco. I am quite involved with the daily musings screaming off my head. I have a desperate love affair with words, music & art. I am experiencing intense aversion from emotionally fucked up men. I can't -for the life of me- deal with them. PERIOD. I am trying to convince myself that good things will soon fall into place. As of now, I am fidgeting everytime I have my Finnish lessons but I try to divert my attention to poker and chocolates, my first love.
Amuse me, I'm a disaster in the process of disintegration! I cuss a lot, especially when I'm upset...it's my favorite virtue next to playing dead . WTF! LOL ©

Disconnecting yourself from my Social Networks! Happy networking punkass!!! Networkin' shits just proved I'm a semi-conformist. WTF!
