rice madness

 i literraly woke up at the right side of the bed at around 11 in the morning…and headed to the kitchen (so normal…i’m famished. i never eat dinner.)

and Mentalicia…my mom (please consider the lunatic who baptized her with that name…she always find it disturbing or funny. but for me…i love it..its unique and it’s my mom’s name…uhmm..maybe beacuse i’m getting used to it. mentalicia! mentalicia! *who cares choco*!!!)Anyways…lets continue..mentalicia just had the rice done…rice as we all know is one of pinoy’s staple food…aside from the everyday political dramas of course! We just can get enough without those white precious blunt parcels that we love to eat together with adobo, ginataang prawns, tinolang manok, dried fish, bagoong (preserved itsy bitsy shrimps), toyo, milo, and even asin (salt)! haaaay!!! yes!!! rice is everything…eaten three times a day…sometimes 5 times…and sometimes we blame it for making us fat…hmmm…thats me! although I blame everything that enters my mouth! haha!

I can’t allow myself to speak so much bisaya here…some foreigners will lose interest reading this…as if theirs one! …so just pretend that I don’t speak visayan in this conversation…it won’t sound sosyal! haaar!

Mentalicia: Children of God…lunch is ready!
(O ha!! children of God na yan! luphet!)
Me: The rice smells good…is that NFA?
Mentalicia: Since when did I serve NFA on the dinner table!?
Me: Relax…just asking!
Mentalicia: watever! *toinks!*
Me: Ma…how much is the kilo of this rice?
Mentalicia: 34pesos
me: Huwhaaat!?
Mentalicia: Its very expensive…blame it to the hoarders…
Me: NO ma .. blame it to president GMA…just creating issues on this poor rice to divert the people’s attention from her ZTE scandal…duh!
Mentalicia: ‘havva point!
Me: she’s apparently making an as* out of herself again!
Mentalicia: This rice dilemma is another omen that the Philippines is eating poverty again…
Me: Since when did poverty not a part of the philippine’s system ma…Its like rice…its a staple issue in our country and apparently…we just can’t get enough! And now…these rice shortage is getting in our nerves already…
Poverty here is burried a thousand times, but did not experience it’s dying glory…
*silence*
Mentalicia: This whole rice issue is like history playing its part the second time around. I remember when GMA’s grandfather…former Pres. Macapagal experienced problems like this..giving birth to the country’s economic crisis… and with the start of the rice shortage that time…follows the ill-striken birth of poverty in the Philippines.
ME: So..this dilemma we have right now is basically an omen…an omen that the country will soon experience a great blow of economic hunger..!? good lourd!!!

My rice is already cold…

Mentalicia: That’s why…you have to find a job if you still want to eat that expensive rice on your plate…and finally kick your a** out and work abroad!
(daydreaming mode: New York, Paris, London, Italy, Tokyo…here I come! *evil grin* hahahaha!!!)

ME: Thanks for the reminder ma…i don’t need to be informed the Nth time that I’m a professional bummer..ok!?
Mentalicia: Finish eating delicious rice because you’ll be eating NFA rice starting tomorrow…
Me: *gulp.* Sh#t!!! I’m already late in my review!!!

Mentalicia must be punishing me for being jobless…i should get a decent job now. (or a decent boyfriend…huwhaaat!!!??? im just kidding!
mumbling…I’ll get late again..hmmph!

(so drama!!!…wla akong review today…i’m going out to have a fix…I’m going to have a haircut and have some hair treatment…then kill some time at the coffee shop and finish my letter for Michelle…
